Sevinç Schools Course Center Project
A serene atmosphere maximizing focus on the road to success; productive workspaces crafted to help reach goals.
A project for the Sevinç Schools course centre in Istanbul. A course centre is used differently from a school: students come for short periods, work intensively and leave. The space has to suit that rhythm.
The classroom arrangement was built to support concentration, with study and individual work areas separated from teaching spaces. The shared area used during short breaks was resolved in a position that does not carry sound into the teaching zones.
Lighting was designed to reduce eye strain during long periods of study. Surface and furniture selection took account of the durability and maintenance demands of a space used at high turnover through the day.
