Ataşehir Sevinç Schools Main Campus Project
An inspiring education base for minds shaping the future; a modern campus fueling the passion for learning through the language of architecture.
A project for the main campus of Sevinç Schools in Ataşehir, Istanbul. In educational buildings the user is a child, and that changes every priority: safety, acoustics, material durability and questions of scale come first.
Sightlines drove the classroom layout, with the aim that students at the back can see the board comfortably and the teacher does not have to raise their voice. Daylight was brought in without glare — in a learning space the direction of light matters as much as its quantity.
Shared areas were sized for break-time density. Corridor widths, turning points and stair connections were resolved so that a crowd moving at once does not jam. Material selection was based on impact resistance and ease of cleaning.
